After graduating from the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, I obtained a PhD in History from the European University Institute (2024) with a dissertation on the development of oil palm in Dahomey/Benin (1894-1978). I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Florence within the ERC-funded project HumanEuroMed. Since July 2022 I am Junior Editor at the European Review of History.
